Faith 10/03/2022
As Johoreans head out to vote tomorrow, we asked Reverend Benedict Rajan of Calvary City Church JB to declare a prayer over the state election. Stand alongside Johor’s Christian community in prayer today.
Father, we thank You for the state of Johor, for a time such as this. Lord, You promised as in Isaiah 54:14 that You will establish Johor in righteousness; fear and terror will be far away from the state. Therefore we commit this coming election into Your hands. Father, we thank You.
You said, Lord, in Your Word in Proverbs 14:34, Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people. Father, we just pray in the Name of Jesus, let good, faithful people of integrity be elected to the state government. We pray for all the 10 subdistricts, from Kota Tinggi right up to Johor Bahru, we pray for all 10 districts — every election will be done under the supervision of the angelic hosts from heaven.
Those that go to the ballot box, they will not be influenced by Islamic extremism or money politics; they will be influenced by righteousness, by good character, by truth and integrity. We pray, dear Father, that day You will give us good weather. Thank You for fine weather.
And that day, for all Christians, You will give us a heart of intercession. While the people are going out to elect, You said in Proverbs 21:1, The heart of a king is in the hands of the Lord. Like channels of water, He directs it. Father, we pray that the hearts of the people will be directed to elect people who are truthful.
We also pray that there will be more than 75% voter turnout. We especially pray for the 750,000 young voters, UNDI 18, that they will come and good senses will prevail, and they will choose a government that will not practise racialism, Father.
We commit this entire election into Your hands and in the Name of Jesus, we take authority over every demonic forces that would incline towards wicked rulers and wicked people, Father. We also pray that there will be no palace influence in this election, dear Father. By faith, we declare as in Matthew 6:9, Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy Name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, in Johor, in Malaysia, as it is in heaven.
We thank You! Let Your Name be glorified. In Jesus’ Name, we pray and everybody said, Amen.
