Who Is Jesus?
A simple introduction to the Person behind it all.
Here at Faithour, we are Christ-followers driven by a love for our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. When Adam and Eve (the first man and woman) sinned against God who is holy, just and perfect, humanity lost what God had created us to have: perfect, unhindered relationship with him.
Born into sin, it is impossible to find our way back into God’s presence on our own. Although we may try to, sin prevents us from reaching God. A just and perfect God cannot turn a blind eye to sin, for its punishment is death. And we believe that’s what we would have all been condemned to.
But God loved us, His creation, so much that He sent His Son, Jesus Christ to earth as a man to take the punishment for the sins of humanity. Born of the virgin Mary, Jesus grew up just as we did and for three years before His death, He impacted countless lives.
Jesus fed the hungry, healed the sick, empowered the vulnerable, welcomed the outcast, spoke out against injustice, protected the vulnerable and restored relationships.
He left an eternal legacy.
And then, the perfect Son of God paid the price for an imperfect world. By suffering at the hands of sinners, dying on the cross and rising again, Jesus Christ broke the power of sin over our lives and gave us a free gift: the chance to be reunited with God the Father in perfect, unhindered relationship, and with it eternal life.
Just as we were created to be.
And that offer is on the table for all of us, free. In Jesus Christ, we’ve found hope, life and purpose. Our journey is far from over; we are and always will be sinners only saved by grace. But on this side of eternity, we wanted to let you know that Jesus loves you and that in Him, you can experience the power of salvation, find your purpose and walk each day with the hope of eternal life.
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord. “Plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11
